Arbor High and Transition Programs

Arbor High and Transitional School's mission is to prepare all students for academic, independent living, and vocational success. To meet those goals, the Arbor School has developed specialized programs to meet the needs of our students. As a result, Arbor is one School with three different programs.

College Bound for students 14 and up

  • Transitional Learning Program for students 14 and up
  • Competitive Transitional Learning Program for students aged 18-22
  • College Bound
  • Small class instruction in English, Math, Science, and History
  • Electives include Independent Living Skills, Vocational Skills, Art, PE, and Social Skills
  • Students are supported by Occupational Therapy and Speech/Language Therapy in electives and during social skills classes

Transitional Learning

  • Small class instruction in reading and math
  • Self-contained classroom
  • Additional instruction in Independent Living Skills and Pre-Vocational Skills
  • Students have access to Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Therapy, Music Therapy and Art
  • Potential employment in student run enterprises

Competitive Transitional Learning Program

  • Designed for students seeking competitive employment with or without a college degree
  • Small class instruction in English, Math, Science, and History as needed to complete diploma requirements
  • Vocational/Certificate training based on student's talents and interests
  • Independent Living Skills

Arbor High

Arbor High is dedicated to providing high school students with the individualized core academic classes designed to meet each child's unique learning abilities. Class electives  include:

Arbor Transitional Programs

Arbor Transitional provides an alternative learning experience for students 18-22. Students will be adding to their independent living skills, social skills, core academics, and on site work environment training.
